EDIT: Super glad you guys respond to these comments, +1 star for that. If I am ever around there again I will stop by and check things out.
Its mostly quiet and fairly secure. I did have a few small issues with the apartment on move in. The refrigerator and microwave were still dirty but they sent someone up and they cleaned them properly an promptly. the staff that i have dealt with (Karen) were very friendly and helpful. The hallways are clean and well kept except for the trash chute area where the floor is sticky almost every day which i guess should be expected. but overall i havnt been dissapointed.
Have lived here since last year, and me and my husband feel great about living here. The exercise room is great to have, and the pool is wonderful. There is only one thing that I have a problem with. Some of the tenants that live here just let people in the door when they don't know who they are. This is supposed to be a secure building, but some tenants don't care about who comes in the building. One GREAT thing that the new owners have done is they are in the process of making the outside parking a totally secure parking lot with gates for entry and exit. You will even have to be buzzed in through a gate just to walk onto the buildings grounds. They are going to charge $20 a month to park in the outside lot, ($75 a month to park in the building's enclosed basement garage), which I don't think is bad at all! (Before moving back to the Midwest, me and the Husband NEVER had free parking when we lived in the New York City area.) The main thing I would like to see is a 24 hour Doorman in the lobby of the building. In most Major cities, when you have a high-end building like this one, it is standard to have a Doorman in the lobby, checking to see who is coming in. Other than that, it is a great place to move in, and I would recommend it!
If you value quality, customer service, cleanliness, don't come here. If you have to find a place due to work, live here at your own peril. I'm literally sitting in my apartment with the door open to air out the smoke coming in from other apartments, in a "non-smoking" building. Did I mention the bucket under my kitchen sink? Oh yeah, the garbage disposal is broken and water runs all over. It could be a really nice place. Unfortunately, it's being managed by a company that simply doesn't get it or doesn't care. $75 for a parking garage that is so filthy, my inside car mats are disgusting and have to wipe my shoes off at the door of my apartment. Simply awful.
Lived here in '10-'11, sounds like things haven't gotten any better. Management acts like they owe you nothing for your rent. C store was nice though. They don't seem to want to put money into this place so it will continue to suck.
But I guess that is to be expected. They won't keep good people in there though, if that keeps up.
My daughter and son -in-law started living there about 1 year ago. I visit. It's enjoyable living but took away some amenities while the rent went up. (Because of the new owners.)
