Called to verify insurance benefits "before booking" appointment. This is a best common practice from the service end because what your insurance company TELLS you often times does not reflect point of service information; The receptionist wasn't helpful, could check nothing, knew nothing and apparently could do nothing; was otherwise flat and delightfully hostile to the point I asked if she was perhaps a temp and was THIS perhaps the reason I could not get basic information? because IF that was the case? I could call back later. She was not a temp. She simply wasn't interested in being helpful. So, she put me on the phone roll over wait game...would randomly check to see if I was still there; when I said "hello?" She put me right back to the "hold and roll" game. Not certain who runs this clinic or if they're interested in reviews or in need of new patients to help pay their mortgages and student loans and fund their IRA's.....but They might want to conduct some research on customer service and marketing approach as it impacts client perception and retention.
My insurance and my copay and my time will be spent with an office who cares enough about their business to put their best possible foot forward. While Dr. James might be an excellent physician ~ doing all he can knocking it out of the park right and left? Whoever answered the phone today on his behalf was knocking it out of the park in the complete other direction;
