Two weeks ago, I gave a bank teller specific instructions to put a stop payment on a check I had out. She ignored the instruction and of course I go to withdraw some cash and find myself in the negative $70.00! Now because of late fees this payday I will have more charges to that overdraft, among other surprise charges too.

I have been humiliated in checkout lines at supermarkets when US Bank wouldn't overdraft $1.02 and have been devastated a couple of times to find myself penniless on pay day because of a negative balance I never saw coming.
US Bank has a very convoluted Over Draft Protection option, don't be surprised when you find yourself in the negative and the unhelpful banker gives you a million reasons why, and can never do anything to help you. The way it works is basically, sometimes you can overdraft, sometimes you cannot based on the arbitrary decision-- "discretion"--of the bank, which I'm certain is nothing more than a hit or miss game of computer Black Jack.
There have been other instances of wanton disregard for customer service and satisfaction on the behalf US Bank that have almost left me homeless and many nights, me and my children hungry, but I will save everyone time from reading such an exhaustive list and will suffice it to say: Don't bank with US Bank. I started banking with them in July, it is December and I have been broke since. Take your money elsewhere.
And of course they will be impotent to do anything to help.
