Good as usual. It did not take long to find what I was going to buy & the checkout woman was professional & prompt. We shopped there often in the past & it is still worthwhile to drive 60 miles to look around or buy groceries there. Parking was not full up. Nice to see things have not changed much. Looking forward to Christmas decoration shopping there. Hopefully your new Christmas trees are on display soon.
Avoid This Auto Service Dept!!! Manager (James) would rather intentionally aggravate customers than just do his job on a simple tire repair!
We love Walmart south. They should give us some stock. Lol! This evening we enjoyed dinner at the Subway and did some shopping.
For the first 25 minutes I stood at the counter while workers and manager looked at me through the glass and looked away without any acknowledgement of what I needed. Then I was told they couldn't find the leak, but they replaced the valve stem, lubricated it and filled it with air. Because he never found the problem, he would only charge me for the (unnecessary) valve stem. I was already irritated and just wanted to pay the nominal fee for not being able to do the job so I could leave, but was told to wait. He went back for another 20 minutes (I've been waiting over an hour at this point) and came back to charge me the full fee for a tire repair because he took the time to balance the tire after I was already annoyed with the lesser charge! I shouldn't have been charged anything if he couldn't find any problem with the tire! He obviously did that just to charge me more that I didn't authorize and escalate an already bad situation-and he was the manager!
Mind you, this review is posted during the start of the holiday season of shopping right after Thanksgiving. Crowded. Lots of rude and crabby people. Dirty restrooms. The cashiers and stock folks look frazzled and stressed out though they are doing thier best to be polite to all the customers, even the rude ones. I try to stay out of both Walmart stores here in St. Joseph Missouri as much as possible during the holiday season. I think I would rather have a sharp stick in the eye rather than be in a Walmart store on Black Friday. I do not do competitive team shopping.
More cashiers are needed instead of only 2 or 3 registers open. When the lines reach the clothing or jewelry, more registers need to be opened. You would think a multi biliion dollar company would want to keep their patrons happy.
